I'll spare you the gory details, but I grew up poor. An "old poor", as they say.

These are just some of the things I've decided to share because I got sick of getting looped into clicking someone's Pinterest link that promised to save me money and told to stop shopping and ordering DoorDash.

Like...people need REAL tips.

And finally, after hearing me lament about the absolute stupidity of some of these posts, one of my friends said to me, "Maybe it's time you start being the one with the advice." They had heard me get pissed that people were making ad revenue because I'd foolishly thought that someone who merely needed to adapt their spending skills had any better advice than someone like myself, who actually knew what it meant to be poor.

So that's what this is. As of writing this about page, I have no plans to monetize, other than any tiny affiliate commissions or referral bonuses from my Fetch/Upside/Ibotta/Capital One links. This is me, doing my best for the community. For people trying to make it. For the ones who need better advice than "just write a budget."
